1108 - DeepEye Dual Towfish 340kHz/680kHz

DeepEye towfish is our medium-sized towfish. It is small enough to be incredibly portable and easy to use, but still large enough to provide very good images. It is well suited for use with both winch systems as well as manual cable drums. With standard cable the usable depth is down to 60m while with the winch system towards 100m.

DeepEye is available with double  frequencies 340kHz/680kHz. The 340kHz is the most common choice when it comes to cable positioning, mine search etc. While 680 kHz is mainly used for biological inventory of e.g. seaweed.

1127 - DeepEye Dual Towfish 340kHz/680kHz SAR

The DeepEye Dual Towfish 340/680 SAR has the same capabilities and functions for the 340kHz frequency as

1108 - DeepEye Dual Towfish 340/680kHz. The difference lies in the 680kHz frequency which is specially designed to search for bodies. Signal strength, filters and opening angles are slightly different than for the standard 680kHz. Over many years of development in collaboration with various authorities and rescue services, we have developed a sonar that is as good as possible with this task in mind. However, this means that if you are not using it for body search, we recommend 1108 - DeepEye Dual Towfish 340/680kHz instead. However, if the main purpose of your searches is drowning victims, 1127 - DeepEye Dual Towfish 340/680kHz SAR is absolutely your best option.
